Yaaaaaaaaas! Jade has arrived with her first single as a solo artist and it is INSANE .
I have had this song on repeat all morning and I couldn’t sleep last night after listening to her premiere on Jack Saunder’s Radio 1 show last night.

It’s Radio 1’s hottest record this week and last night they played it not once, not twice but THREE times in a row because it is just SO good.

Why is it so brilliant Beth? I hear you ask.

For me it’s the tempo changes, it’s the vocals, it’s the subtle sampling at the beginning of the song with Sandie Shaw’s “Puppet On A String“, it’s the seriousness of the meaning behind the song about the darkness of the music industry and because it is such a fresh, exciting new pop sound. It’s a belter of a pop song and i’m so excited for a summer to play this on repeat. It’s been a while since we’ve got excited about a new artist who is bringing pop bangers back into the charts. She’s worked hard crafting her sound and it seems like she’s found exactly what she wanted it to sound like. She’s worked again with Mike Sabath with him working as co-writer and producer of the single. Jade and Mike worked together on “Wasabi” from her Little Mix days. You can hear Jade say at the beginning of the track “Hey Mike let’s do something CRAZY” crazy it is.

He asked Jade on the show how she wants people to react to it:
“I just wanted people to just not know what was going on and want to listen to it again… It has three acts to the song and I wanted it to be this dramatic, chaotic pop moment where it does feels like you’ve been punched in the face and you’re like ‘oh that was amazing do it again‘”
